They have also shared stage with the likes of Steven Wilson, 65daysofstatic, Tides from Nebula, Blackstratblues, and Karsh Kale; I am waiting for you last summer. The eleven-track album sees the use of instruments like the violin, viola, cello, sitar and the tabla, into collaboration with like-minded artists on some tracks. Just like the unique approach they have for their music, how they collaborate too is also unique.

In addition to his music, Cornell also became involved in philanthropy and China portable saw mill started the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation to support children facing challenges, including homelessness, poverty, abuse and neglect.Three years later, Soundgarden broke through on mainstream radio with the album ‘Superunknown’, which debuted at No.Cornell also collaborated with members of what would become Pearl Jam to form Temple of the Dog, which produced a self-titled album in 1991 in tribute to friend Andrew Wood, former frontman for Mother Love Bone. It included hit singles ‘Spoonman’, ‘Fell on Black Days’, ‘Black Hole Sun’, ‘My Wave’ and ‘The Day I Tried to Live’. Basanth played the saxophone and was in the marching band and symphonic band, while I sang in choir, theatre, and played French horn as a part of symphonic band as well," explains Varshini, the elder sibling. How did the idea come about?

"So BhaVa is both of our names put together. As for the future, the plan is to balance their independent career with film work, Basanth concludes, "Performance and production under The BhaVa Network banner includes our own independent projects, collaborations with other artists and entities both locally and internationally, performance, as well as work in the film industry. Now, they are all set to enter films. It was quite a memorable experience. Nivas has amazing knowledge both as a musician and a director. Our parents are both Carnatic musicians and teachers in Los Angeles. The brother and sister duo from LA, California, have been taking the indie music scene by storm with their talent, and now are looking to make a splash in films too. It was inspiring and humbling to see his creative process and the similarities we saw in our own upbringing of music," reveals Varshini.

Varshini elaborates, "No matter what I did in my medical profession, I always felt something was missing, I wasn’t happy with my work. We began creating a model to effectively build a bridge connecting our strong roots both on the east and west. "Both of us have worked independently on different films and songs both in the US and India. So music has always been a huge part of our lives since childhood. Our approach to music is what we term ‘primordial sounds. Perfect since BhaVa also means expression, emotion, state of body and mind, and becoming and birth. And well, whatever else the stars have in store for us!".BhaVa — conceptualised around the music talents of Tamil sibling duo Basanth and Varshini Muralikrishnan — are ticking all the right boxes.’ We stray away from the term ‘fusion’ as we firmly believe primordial sounds is a focal point of the different forms of music and styles, the root of which has always been in existence.

Ranveer SinghAsk the actor about his association with the production house and Ranveer is all praises. "I feel fortunate that I have been able to work with someone like Adi so early in my career," says Anushka, enthusiastically, "I feel like any advice he gives me is sincere wood cutting band saw machine Manufacturers and from the heart. The director even apologised to Aditya and Anushka, when casting the actress in his own Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Imphal Talkies and The HowlersSongs of the peopleAkhu Chingangbam, who founded the band Imphal Talkies, did not consciously choose the folk genre at first. We are all in jobs which we don’t want, and are always looking forward to something better. One of the first musicians to take up the challenge of reviving folk music was Kailash Kher. "There are 25 different folk traditions in Tamil Nadu, each distinct in itself. That’s a beautiful thing," he says. And the main thing here is how much is being done to keep the form alive.

The Delhi-based band, comprising Raman Negi as the vocalist, Paras Thakur as the guitarist and Sahil Sarin on drums, released their first album Aalas Ke Pedh in 2015.". There is no support system for the musicians, like there is in the West. We just made music and put it out. While as a child he remembers listening to Tamil folk music, as a musician he started out with Western genres and even played guitar for a Bengali Baul band — Oikyotaan — between 2003 and 2004. As band members, we’ve also had our respective journeys. We have also incorporated some folk instruments in our sets and that adds to that effect," Akhu explains. It’s a music as simple as it’s deep. Antarman, from West Bengal, composes songs in Hindi and intersperses them with verses of the original Bengali folk song. They have experienced their set of highs and lows, but the lack of sufficient support system for indie bands further hampered their growth. This is the reason why many indie bands are very directionless in their nascent stages.

"Lyrically the term ‘khudi means self-actualisation.In the meantime, while Bollywood continues to rule the music space, the struggle of indie bands to be heard, continues to be a difficult journey. It was after the first album came out that Akhu realised that the sound definitely had folk undertones. It came before the Vedic Age and structural configuration of melodies. When I was in Kedarnath last year, the priests said that they love my Jayjaykara (a song from the film Baahubali).Producers called it old school and irrelevant.Kabir Café fuses the Kabir school of singing with drums, guitar and mandolin"We feel blessed to be able to be a part of such a universal movement.. All that we have been able to do has been because of our audience. And the essence of existence. But the need for bread and butter compels him to continue dropping food at people’s doorsteps.
